My Ecology, 2023, fine liner and coloured pencils, installation view.
My Ecology is a durational tending project occurring from September 7th to November 22nd 2023. Each day I drew a nonhuman I met while going about my day. Compiled in a journal are approximately 50 drawings of various plant species, which are accompanied by the date, the daily weather and temperature, the species name, and text chronicling my interaction with each plant. Upon completion of the journal I created a drawing collaging together some of the species that stood out the most to me throughout this experience.
