A Vancouver artist, Lauren James-Davies (b. 2003), explores nature and the diverse ecology surrounding her through watercolor. In her practice, James-Davies utilizes art as a means to explore and understand the various nonhuman species with whom we coexist. Through her attention to detail, James-Davies hopes to express the care she feels for her subject matter. She is majoring in Visual Arts at Emily Carr University of Art and Design and is currently in her final semester. James-Davies aims to use art as an educational tool to promote a deeper understanding of the world and the landscapes we co-inhabit.
